Agent Fuel & Billing
How Agent Fuel credits work, what they cover, and how billing is structured.
How Billing Works
Billing on the platform is simple: one subscription plan at $297/month, which includes a platform fee and a starting balance of Agent Fuel credits. There are no tiers, no feature gates, and no upsells. Every subscriber gets full access to everything.
Your Subscription
The $297/month subscription breaks down into two parts:
| Component | Amount | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Platform Fee | $250/mo | Full access to the platform — unlimited agents, unlimited team members, full white-label with custom domains, all 145 templates, priority support. |
| Agent Fuel Credits | $47/mo | Pre-paid credits that power your agents’ voice calls, AI processing, phone numbers, and more. |
| Total | $297/mo | Everything included. One plan. One bill. |
Note: Every feature is included for every subscriber — unlimited agents, unlimited team members, full white-label branding with custom domains, all 145 templates, and full priority support. There are no Starter, Growth, or Scale tiers. One plan, everything included.
What Is Agent Fuel?
Agent Fuel is the universal credit currency that powers all voice agent activity on the platform. Instead of juggling separate bills from multiple providers, everything is consolidated into one credit balance. No separate invoices for Twilio, ElevenLabs, or Anthropic — one credit system, one bill.
| Service | What’s Consumed |
|---|---|
| Voice Minutes | Inbound and outbound call time — the core of what your agents do. |
| AI Processing | Claude Haiku 4.5 by Anthropic — the language model that powers your agent’s understanding and responses. |
| Voice Synthesis | ElevenLabs text-to-speech that gives your agent its natural-sounding voice. |
| Transcription | Converting call audio into text transcripts for review and analytics. |
| Phone Numbers | Monthly rental for each active phone number assigned to an agent (Twilio). |
| Calendar Bookings | API calls to Cal.com for checking availability and creating appointments. |
How Credits Are Consumed
Credits are consumed in real time during each call. The main factors that affect consumption:
- Call duration — longer calls use more voice, AI, and telephony resources
- Voice selection — premium ElevenLabs voices may consume slightly more than standard voices
- Complexity — calls that involve calendar lookups or knowledge base searches use a bit more AI processing
As a rough guideline, most agencies see their Agent Fuel cost work out to roughly $0.15–$0.30 per minute of call time, depending on the voice and features used.
Tip: Here’s the profitability math most successful agencies use: if you charge a client $500–$1,500/month for an AI receptionist, and that agent handles a typical call volume, your Agent Fuel cost is roughly $30–$120/month per client. That’s a 70–90% margin. The key is pricing your service based on value to the client, not your cost.
Fill My Tank — Dynamic Billing
Your subscription includes $47 of Agent Fuel each month, but most active agencies will use more. When your included credits run low, the Fill My Tank dynamic billing system kicks in.
Usage above your $47 monthly allotment is billed at marked-up rates and charged to your card on file. You can also purchase credits proactively through manual top-ups or set up auto-reload to keep your balance healthy without thinking about it.
Credit Lifecycle
Understanding how credits flow through the system:
Credits Are Added
Credits enter your account through your monthly subscription allotment ($47 included), manual top-ups, or auto-reload purchases.
Credits Are Consumed
As your agents handle calls, credits are deducted in real time. You can see the running balance on your dashboard at any time.
FIFO Order
Credits are consumed in First In, First Out order. Your oldest credits are used first, so subscription-included credits (which arrive monthly) get used before top-up credits you purchased later.
Credits Expire After 12 Months
Any unused credits expire 12 months after they were added to your account. This applies to subscription credits, top-ups, and auto-reloads equally.
Auto-Reload
Auto-reload keeps your Agent Fuel balance topped up so your agents never go offline. Here’s how it works:
| Setting | Default | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold | $10 | When your balance drops below this amount, auto-reload triggers. |
| Target | $50 | Your balance is reloaded up to this amount. The system charges the difference between your current balance and the target. |
For example, if your balance drops to $8 (below the $10 threshold), the system charges $42 to bring your balance up to $50.
Warning: If your Agent Fuel balance hits zero, your agents will stop answering calls. Callers will hear a standard voicemail greeting instead of your AI agent. Set up auto-reload to make sure this never happens.
Viewing Your Balance
Your current Agent Fuel balance is always visible in two places:
- Dashboard — the credit balance widget in the top-right corner shows your current balance, recent consumption trend, and estimated days remaining at your current usage rate.
- Billing Page — the full billing page shows your balance, transaction history, usage breakdown by service, and per-client usage.
