Inbound SDR

The Inbound SDR is a dedicated AI sales agent that handles incoming phone calls for your agency. It qualifies leads, pitches your services, answers questions using your FAQ and pricing packages, and books appointments directly on your calendar — all without human intervention.

What It Does

  • Answers calls 24/7 — Never miss a sales inquiry. Your SDR picks up every call instantly.
  • Qualifies leads — Asks discovery questions, identifies pain points, and scores lead quality in real time.
  • Pitches your services — Uses your configured pricing packages and business description to deliver a compelling pitch.
  • Answers FAQs — Responds to common questions using your custom FAQ entries and uploaded knowledge base documents.
  • Books appointments — Integrates with Cal.com (and other scheduling connectors) to check availability and book meetings on the spot.
  • Captures lead data — Saves caller name, phone, email, and conversation summary to your CRM.

Setup Guide

Step 1: Enable Inbound SDR

Navigate to the Inbound SDR section in your agency sidebar. If it is not visible, contact your platform administrator to enable it for your agency.

Step 2: Provision a Phone Number

Click "Provision Phone Number" and enter your preferred area code. The system will purchase a dedicated Twilio phone number and create your AI sales agent automatically. Your business name is injected into the agent's greeting and sales script.

Step 3: Customize Your Agent

Once provisioned, you can customize:

  • Greeting message — The first thing callers hear.
  • System prompt — The full sales playbook that guides the AI through discovery, pitch, objection handling, and closing.
  • Voice — Choose from the ElevenLabs voice library or use the default (Rachel).
  • FAQ entries — Add common questions and answers your SDR should know.
  • Pricing packages — Select which billing packages the SDR can pitch to callers.
  • Personality traits — Emphasize specific traits like confidence, empathy, or urgency.
  • Knowledge base — Upload documents for the agent to reference during calls.

Step 4: Connect Your Calendar

For appointment booking, connect a scheduling tool in the Connectors tab (Cal.com or Google Calendar). Once connected, the SDR can check real-time availability and book meetings during the call. Enter your Cal.com booking URL in the SDR settings to enable this.

Step 5: Go Live

Toggle the Enabled switch to activate your SDR. Forward your business phone to the provisioned number, or advertise the new number directly. Calls will be answered immediately by your AI agent.

Billing

The Inbound SDR uses your shared fuel credits with two billing components:

  • Per-minute call charges — 25 credits per minute ($0.25/min) with a 30-second minimum. Covers Twilio voice, ElevenLabs AI, and Claude inference costs.
  • Monthly phone number fee — 200 credits per month ($2.00/mo) per active phone number. Billed on the 1st of each month.

Credits are deducted from your shared fuel balance. Auto-reload triggers automatically when your balance drops below your configured threshold.

Call Analytics

Every SDR call is logged with full details including duration, outcome, cost breakdown, and conversation transcript. View your call history and analytics in the Inbound SDR dashboard. Monthly usage summaries aggregate your total calls, duration, and costs.

Default Sales Playbook

Every SDR agent starts with a proven 7-stage sales playbook built into the system prompt:

  1. Warm Opening — Greet by business name, build rapport
  2. Qualification — Identify business type, call volume, pain points
  3. Discovery — Understand current phone setup and missed opportunities
  4. Value Presentation — Present solution with ROI calculations
  5. Objection Handling — Address concerns about AI, pricing, and implementation
  6. Close — Book a demo or next step
  7. Wrap-up — Confirm details and end professionally

You can fully customize this playbook by editing the system prompt in your SDR settings.
