Using Your Managed Agent

You launched a managed Hermes agent — your own private AI agent, hosted by us and running around the clock. No servers to babysit, nothing to install. This guide walks through everything you can do with it. 🦒

Opening your agent

Go to Launch Your Agent in your dashboard. Your agent is listed under Your Agents. Click Open and you're signed straight in with your Gary Club account — no extra password to remember. Your agent opens in its own private workspace.

Talking to your agent

The simplest way to use your agent is the built-in chat — just start typing. Ask a question, hand it a task, or paste in something to work through, and it replies in real time, right in your browser.

A few things to try first:

• "Search the web for the latest on <topic> and summarize the top three sources."
• "Remember that my business is <X> and I care about <Y>." — it'll recall that later.
• "Draft a reply to this email: …"
• "Put together a quick plan for <project>."

What your agent can do

• Search the web and read live pages.
• Remember — it keeps its own private memory across conversations, so context builds over time.
• Work with your files and data in its workspace.
• Run tools to actually get things done, not just talk about them.
• Tap Gary Club Powers — it's wired into the Gary Club brain out of the box.

Everything stays private to your agent. It's yours alone.

Chat from your phone (Telegram)

Want to talk to your agent on the go? On your agent's card, choose Connect Telegram and follow the prompt to link your account. Once it's connected, you can message your agent from anywhere — same agent, same memory, just on your phone.

Full command-line access (SSH)

Want a real shell on your agent's server? On your agent's card, choose Add SSH key, paste in your public key, and you'll be able to SSH straight in for full hands-on control — inspect the workspace, install things, automate to your heart's content.

Naming & running multiple agents

Give your agent a name so it's easy to recognize — just hit Rename on its card. Want more than one? You can run several agents side by side (one per subscription). Launch another from the same page, and each gets its own private workspace, memory, and access.

Tasks & usage

Your plan includes a monthly pool of tasks — a task is a unit of work your agent does for you. Your current usage shows right on your agent's card. The allowance refreshes every billing cycle, and anything you don't use carries over.

Your AI model

By default your agent runs on a strong, fast model (Qwen3 235B) on our billing — nothing to set up, it just works, and it's covered by your tasks. Prefer a specific model? You can bring your own key: open the Models page inside your agent's dashboard and connect your own OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google key. When you use your own key, that usage is billed by your provider rather than counting against your tasks.

Managing your subscription

Everything billing-related lives behind Manage billing on the Launch Your Agent page. From there you can:

• Upgrade or downgrade your plan — your agent resizes onto the new server automatically, and your memory and files come right along.
• Update your card.
• Cancel anytime — your agent keeps running through the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Reactivate if you change your mind.

Common questions

Is my agent really private? Yes — it's a dedicated server that's yours alone, with its own memory and workspace. Nothing is shared with other members.

Why does it say "Gateway: off"? "Gateway" is the optional messaging bridge for Telegram. It has no effect on the web chat — your agent works fully either way. Connect Telegram and it switches on.

What if I run out of tasks? Buy a top-up from your agent's card, or upgrade your plan — either adds capacity instantly.

Can I lose my agent's memory? No — your agent's memory and files live on a dedicated data drive that survives restarts, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
